Terms of use

Effective 2026-09-16. Binding 18+ clickwrap via the age gate.

Lumina is an educational software product. It is not a licensed Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) firm, private investigator, locksmith, alarm company, attorney, or law-enforcement agency. Nothing in the app is legal, medical, or safety advice. We do not promise that following any procedure will find every device, prevent crime, or lead to an arrest or restitution. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumina and its operators are not liable for decisions you make, devices you miss, property you damage, or unlawful use of these materials. If you are in danger, call local emergency services.

License

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for lawful self-protection education. You may not scrape the curriculum to train a competing model, resell “Lumina-certified sweeps,” or present this software as a professional TSCM engagement.

Your promises

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumina’s operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for missed devices, crimes, account takeovers, or bodily harm. If a jurisdiction does not allow a full waiver, liability is limited to USD $0 because the core product is provided free.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Lumina’s operators against claims arising from your misuse, including unlawful surveillance or inspection of property you do not control.

Not a law firm. Governing law: the operator’s principal place of business, subject to mandatory consumer rules where they apply.
